How to install your rotary clothesline

To install your rotary clothesline you will need the following material.
5 kilos of cement
20 kilos of sand
9 inch by 9 inch cavity block,
All are available from your local builders providers.

Step 1

Mix enough cement to fill the centre of the cavity block. ( the mix is 1 part cement 4 parts sand ).
Place the rotary clothesline socket into the block and let it set, best left a day or two. Leave at least 2.5 cm to 5 cm of the socket above the block .

Step 2

Dig a hole which is about 30 cm square and about 35 cm deep. If you save the piece of lawn removed, you will be able to replace it later. Mix enough sand and cement, just add a small amount of water to make a fairly dry mix. Now place some of this cement mix into the hole, enough to bring the block and socket level or just below the level of the ground. If the socket is higher than the ground level it will cause an obstruction later when you try to run a lawmoveover this spot.

Step 3

Fill in around the sides of the block with the remainder of the cement.

Now before the base sets place the open rotary clothesline onto the socket and adjust the clothes dryer making sure it is straight and level.
It needs to be level to ensure it will rotate when fully loaded.

Use a damp cloth to clean  the PVC clothesline before use. When opening the umbrella clothes dryer check the clothesline is free from any tangles or snags.

When not in use the rotary clothesline can be removed from the socket and stored away, this will prolong the life span of your clothes dryer. When closing the dryer hold one of the arm's of the upper frame and not the cast aluminium bracket.
